MAY 3, 2008 (St. Albans, WV) - Rod and the R1 Team went to 201 Speedway in Paintsville, KY for their first race of the season paying $1,500 to win. Rod qualified 1st out of a field of 18 cars. He started on the pole of the first heat race and won it, which gave him the pole starting position for the feature event. Rod led for a couple of laps but ended up falling back and finishing 3rd due to wrong tire choice. Congrats to Rod and team on a top 5 finish, better luck next weekend!
